The Game Fair, the UK’s largest countryside festival, has launched a new online marketplace selling the event’s latest products.
James Gower, MD at The Game Fair, said: “ShowShoppa is the ideal platform for us to add value for many of our exhibitors who rely on our event to generate sales for them. Creating The Game Fair Shop on our website, where our exhibitors can trade all year round, has huge advantages for us as an event organiser, because we are continuing to connect our visitors to hundreds of small businesses and generate much-needed revenues for them.”
The Game Fair Shop sells a selected range of merchandise to country pursuit enthusiasts from across the UK including: Shooting & Fishing, Food & Drink, Gundogs, Garden & Home, Jewellery, Books & Magazines, Artworks, Clothing & Footwear and much more.
Gower added: “Using ShowShoppa also has the added benefit of keeping these exhibitor relationships buoyant and creating a new resource of product imagery for our marketing teams too.”
The Game Fair online marketplace, using the ShowShoppa marketplace platform for event organisers, will be supported by a marketing campaign consisting of weekly newsletters to its 60,000 buyers, and a social media campaign reaching an average of 250,000 customers every week.
ShowShoppa CEO Brenda Hobday added: “We are so pleased to be able to support this essential UK industry by creating an enticing shop using our platform. The Game Fair attracts many affluent buyers who thoroughly enjoy their country pursuits, and now we can ensure that they have a dedicated place to buy products from an established brand that they trust.”
The organiser is also planning to use the ‘active buyer’ data captured through their shop transactions to market the main event.
Celebrating field sports and country life, The Game Fair boasts a comprehensive itinerary for the whole family, including gundog handling and international competitions, clay shooting, archery, fishing, game cookery, falconry, gamekeeping, ferreting, gardens and much more in between. The Game Fair is the largest festival of the countryside in the whole of Europe, visitors can also enjoy a host of food, drink and shopping stalls, as well as outdoor activities including off-road driving. The wide range of products available on The Game Fair Shop are a reflection of the live event. Small artisan producers and globally recognised names sit comfortably together making The Game Fair shop the perfect online retail destination.
